Self-transformation won’t happen if we don’t become more consciously aware of ourselves as well as of our reception of external influences, such as the sounds and colors that surround us, and the scents that enter our body and trigger our brain.
We must see ourselves see. It’s about observation and curiosity, having a sense of wonder, watching the past turning to present.
Becoming an observer of yourself and of the world around you.
Look. Connect.

I am going to draw an example from the astonishing birth of a butterfly, the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly.
Caterpillars have developed “Imaginal Cells”. The imaginal cells are the ones that create the incredible process of metamorphosis that occurs when a caterpillar changes into a butterfly.
This is how it works, the body of the caterpillar dissolves inside the chrysalis into a soupy organic mush. Until then, the body has been trying to keep dormant the imaginal cells.
Once the body stops fighting, the imaginal cells can connect and form the structures, which become the butterfly.
Let’s use the metaphor of the butterfly’s transformation to understand self-transformation. Using the butterfly as a metaphor, to achieve self-transformation, we have to first digest ourselves, become aware of everything we receive and however we perceive ourselves. And then allow our “imaginal cells”, our transformed self survive, turning the soup of confused self into new eyes, thoughts, emotions, and spiritual self.
All these manifestations of self-transformation will eventually turn you into a vessel of awareness, connection, and compassion, which will lead you to completely transform your surroundings by acknowledging them and becoming one with them.
You will start seeing soil and thinking of life, receiving the sun-rays on your skin and imagining growth, seeing a pigeon and noticing how it is looking at you - thinking of you.
