Malvina Lorida
Hi there! I'm Malvina Lorida.
An acupuncturist, Asian Modalities educator, holistic health advocate, movement teacher, and performance artist.

While I treat a wide range of conditions, I specialize in emotional disorders, substance abuse, and fertility.
In addition to my private practice, I have been offering my services at Harm Reduction centers, while teaching Continuing Education Courses on the Foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu, Advanced Cupping Techniques, and Eastern Nutrition, at institutions across Greece and Costa Rica.
I am born and raised in Athens, Greece, and I have been studying, performing, and teaching about the soma and its healing properties in several different countries in Europe & the US.
I started studying Dance Education in Germany until I got transferred to the Dance Department of Hunter College in New York City, where I received my second Bachelor Degree in Dance. I later got my MFA in Arts Leadership from Savannah College of Arts and Design, at the same time with the realization of my festival, called All Souls Festival, with the mission to make space for disability in the arts.
I am also a certified 500 hours Advanced Yoga teacher from Science of Self in New York City, with a specialisation in Meridian yoga, Yoga for Cancer, Yoga for Addiction, Prenatal, and Yin Yoga, Licensed GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Level 1 teacher, as well as Comprehensive Pilates instructor, with a specialisation in Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates.

Years of injuries and dis-orders, as well as growing up in the harsh music industry, guided me towards Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrative Nutrition. After realising the overpowering effect these modalities had on my own healing journey, I decided to dedicate my life to sharing them with the world for the years to come.
I became a NYS & VT licensed acupuncturist and NCCAOM Diplomate with a Master's of Science in Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health & Science, an acudetox specialist & NADA protocol advocate, Acupuncturists Without Borders ally, as well as certified Integrative Nutrition Health Advisor by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, where I focused on detoxification, woman's health, and emotional eating.

My goal through Soma Heal is to use acupuncture, movement and other services, to offer back to my community. My ambition is to spread information and pave the path towards physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual homeostasis, as well as empower the self-awareness, self-reference, self-agency, and self-healing that exist within us all.
My activity as a therapist and artist focuses on community building as well as healing justice, equality, and inclusion in healthcare and in the arts. Aiming for the transformation from a sick care industry to a movement of healing for all.
